This is a picture of my Mother, my Aunt and moi taken this past weekend during my visit. The lady in the middle is the reason behind my visit, besides wanting to see my minicheese lol I love my Aunt Sissy to pieces. She is the love of my life! I did not have the chance to bond with my maternal or paternal grandmother as both passed away very early on so I always considered my Aunt Sissy to be like my grandmother although she is my Great Aunt. She has been fortunate enough to live to be the tender age of 97 and is still quite cognisant of her surroundings, although lately after an unfortunate fall she has started to lose her memory. It is quite saddening to watch your elders age and revert to a child-like dependency. I teared up when kissing her goodbye and saying the words "I love you." It will be a very sad day in my heart when God finally calls her home.
