Last Friday I had my first wedding consultation with Sharon from Sandals. I was a bit disappointed to learn that I now would be working with someone else from this point forward but OK whatever. The consultation lasted for about 45 minutes via telephone as I listened to her rattling off the details previously emailed over to me. She went over what I already discussed with her in addition to advising me of extra's that could be added at an extra cost. Well I guess your FREE wedding isn't so free after all. I quickly learned how much weddings can cost if you don't put a cap on your spending. You do have the option of bringing your own decorations for a less expensive route but you do have to pay a fee to have them set up the decor. I wonder if I can nix that fee and have someone from my guestlist help with that? hmmm Something to definitely consider. Flowers are super duper expensive. She said it would cost $1500 to have fresh flowers on the aisle to the altar. Geesh for real lady that's way too damn much for some flowers. I don't know how people fork over that type of money. Overall I'm still mulling over what I envision for my big day but my priority is definitely cost for sure.
