Last year I weighed in at just five pounds shy of 160. I couldn't believe my eyes when the scale hit that number. I never had an issue with weight in my life and even at the age of 24, I tried to GAIN weight by overeating and sipping on Ensure after inhaling some McDonalds. lol Big Mac's used to be my favorite, now you couldn't pay me to eat at McDonald's. Anyway after taking a deep breath and being honest with myself I did not like how I looked. I was sluggish, tired and unhappy with my appearance. I hated having to suck in my stomach and squeeze into my jeans. Being 'fat' just wasn't working for me. After I was laid off last year, one of the first things I cut was my LA Fitness membership. Without that and the lack of knowledge or will power to work out at home my weight continued to pile on. I'm so happy to say that I now weigh 138 and subtracting. ;0) I feel more like myself again and my face looks like it should and not bloated and swollen from too much sodium and fatty foods.

I attribute my weight loss to good ole' Kennesaw Mountain in Kennesaw, GA. I started hiking there this past summer and lost my first 10 pounds rather quickly. I didn't do any crash diets or fasting to lose the rest either. I started drinking more water, taking vitamin supplements, drinking green tea, doing strength training exercises with Zuzana at home and eating healthier foods in healthier portions. I am so happy that I'm back on track now and I never plan to weigh that much again!
