MAC Fix +
I've been wearing foundation for a few years now and here is what I've learned along the way. For starters, it has become increasingly easier to match your foundation now with the surge in more brown and tan tones in the industry. I don't know if I have found my go to brand just yet but like all make-up lovers out there I do own a few products by Mac. Today I purchased the Fix +. I have heard rave reviews on this product and love how Niniluvsmakeup, on youtube, foundation looks after using this so I gave it as shot. I prefer to use powder foundation because it seems more buildable and stays in place, with liquid I like to apply it with my fingers for some reason but I hate the finger lines they leave behind. When I do use liquid I always set it with a powder, however I often am disappointed by the powdery and dry matte look some powder foundations can give you no matter how moisturized your skin may be.
After applying my MAC concealer today and then my liquid foundation by Revlon I felt like my face needed a little sumin sumin like a spritz of water or something to bring it back from dull to dewy and moisturized. This prompted me to head to the MAC store at lunch and Holy Cow! Where have you been all my life?? I LOVE this stuff!
MAC Fix + is a multipurpose spray that contains glycerin (which traps moisture into your skin to keep you moisturized all day), chamomile, green tea and a host of other healthy ingredients. It can be used as a mixing medium for loose pigments or make your frost and shimmer shadows brighter (not recommended to use with matte shadows!), to set your make-up, as a toner, refresher spray on a hot day or to cut the powdery look and feel of your powder foundation, just to name a few.
Of course as with anything else there are less pricey dupes on the market and I'm sure you can make your own refresher spray right at home but for now I will be toting Mac Fix + in my purse daily ;0)
Next on my list of things to try in the make-up department is Orgasm blush by NARS.
