Tried & True

We all know and love the beauty bloggers that live in our computers and help us decide what new product to buy next but don't you ever wonder if these women actually use these things or if they are just giving them a rave review because it was gifted to them?

I'm here to share with you items that I currently own, purchased with my own money and work fabulously for my combination dry and oily skin.

Numero Uno ~ Castor Oil

I use this brand of Castor oil purchased at Whole foods to remove makeup daily as well as to thicken my eyebrows and hair alike. It also serves as a great oil for deep conditioning and pre-poo treatments. Castor oil serves as an aid in deeply cleansing my skin and getting rid of unwanted sebum that causes acne. It also surprisingly has rid me of eczema, which I have suffered from since youth. I rub it on my body lightly along with Grapeseed oil after showering and it's healing properties soften scar tissue, draws out toxins and breaks down dead cells on your skin's surface.

Numero Dos ~ Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar is great for the skin as a toner and also for the hair after washing used as an ACV rinse. The vinegar adds luster back into your hair after you been dousing it in hard water while showering. I also use this rinse on my Yorkies and their hair looks great!

Numero Tres ~ Tri Luma

I started using this cream in 2010 after recommendation by my Dermatologist. One day while getting my eyebrows waxed, way back when I used to do that, I decided to get my entire face waxed because with all the mixed heritage in my family I am a hairy diva! lol Well why did I do that, not only did my face break out in hives because of the wax my hair also grew at an alarming rate! Only if I could turn back the hands of time. So after trial and pseudo success at the laser therapy treatments I still was left with hyperpigmentation on my jaw line from the increase of hair growth and removal. I used this tube at a whopping $119 per 15 GRAMS and it worked like a charm. The only other adverse thing about this product other than the price is the small quantity if you happen to have a large area to lighten. This product is laced with 4% hydroquinone so you have to use SPF 30+ in order to avoid reversion.

Numero Quatro ~ Smashbox Anti shine

I found out about this product from the MTM's blog. I have oily skin in my T zone which is the forehead, nose and cheekbone area. I put this on after my moisturizer and before my primer to avoid a shiny face. Don't you just hate it when you take a fab picture but your face looks like a gleaming mirror. Uggh I know I do! Purchase this at your local Sephora.

Product Review?????
I heard about this product after watching one of MontanaDeleon's vid's. Her skin is flawless and she mentioned she uses their cleanser along with Noxema. Has anyone ever used this? If so what are your thoughts?????

Well folks that's all for now. I will continue to post products I love and review this year.
