Valentines is Coming

I know Valentine's Day has become so commercialized and some women, in fact, do not even know the origin of it although they put so much pressure on their men to buy them the biggest teddy bear, box of chocolates and dinner money can buy. I remember the one and only time I went out for dinner on Valentines many moons ago. We drove to SIX different restaurants with waits for hours on end and finally decided to just go without. It was a horrible experience. All those couples out showboating their love for the rest of the Valentine's to see and for what? I vowed to never engage in such foolishness again. Now while I am a not so hopeless romantic anymore, thank you Jesus, I still do love the idea of romance and try to indulge every chance I get.

Since Valentines is coming I wonder how many men are gearing up for the big proposal. After all, it is the most romantic pagan holiday of them all right? Speaking of romance, I haven't written about my own wedding in awhile but we do have our location in St. Lucia picked out. I paid for my wedding gown found at New Natalie's in Atlanta. I have been fine tuning my theme colors etc as I go along. Most of my details will be ironed out on location but I still need a few more conference calls with the wedding planner beforehand.

Are you secretly hoping to get a proposal on V day? If so what are your wishes? Scratch that because in all actuality it will happen as he wishes lol Believe me ;0) The man plans the proposal and you both plan the wedding. Have you thought about your desired engagement ring? I never went ring hunting aside from when my male bff wanted to propose to his ex. That experience was fun and of course I tried on 10K rings and up lol He said I wasn't being helpful! smh men I didn't want to even think about marriage, wedding gowns, let alone a ring until I had met my prince charming. I for some reason thought I'd be jinxing myself But as of today I vow to only speak positive thoughts and that goes for spoken and unspoken thoughts. What you put into the universe you shall reap, therefore I want happiness, prosperity, great health, a happy & eternal marriage til death do us part, children and love ;0) A winning lottery ticket would be the cherry on top!

Here are some inspirational pictures. I never really thought about what kind of ring I wanted until I met my fiance' and I looked through fashion magazines prior to him taking me to the jewelry store for the first time.
