#Delta Airlines

Dear Delta Airlines,

You've got some explaining to do! This is me sitting in Newark airport at some point during my 6.5 hour wait to get on my flight. I have no idea where my plane was coming from, perhaps the UK because Lord only knows why I had to waste hours upon hours in the airport. My flight was supposed to leave at 7:30 and since the graduation was over before expected I decided to head to el aeropuerto early and see if I could standby for an earlier flight. I knew to expect delays when Delta called me whilst I was stuffing my face at the Rutger's reception. Yum! Those little quiche snacks were the bomb.com

Anyway to kill the time I talked on the phone, watched youtube, half way looked at some netflix film, got on facebook, tweeted, took a trip the ladies room luggage and all, ate my dinner at the airport smh and even skyped with my friend mini over those 6.5 hours. I was hoping and praying that every time the sign went from expected departure of 8:30 to 10:20 to 11:15 then back to 11:00 it would never say 'This flight has been cancelled.' I was going out of my mind with impatience on 100 million. I felt sorry for the family with the toddlers sprawled out on the dirty floor acting up out of boredom and frustration but this is exactly how we all felt. I was there so long the cleaning crew came, swept up the place and went home before me. I even saw the sky go from day light to pitch black over the course of my stay.

Finally 11 PM arrives and we all crowd around gate 44 as if we are headed to the mother land desperately awaiting our chance to board the plane. The crew had the air conditioning on frozen and that little cheap 'sheet' because it's not a blanket didn't help. I managed to doze off for what seemed like an hour or so being randomly awoken by the jerk of the plane riding the stormy weather. I even kicked off my heels and curled them up underneath my bum for more warmth. I had my row to myself until the airline stewardess crashed next to me. I didn't care though I just wanted to land safely and get the the f out of dodge aka Delta!

We touched down and had to wait before we piled out of cattle class like mad bulls charging toward baggage claim. We all boarded the people mover train only to feel like asses because it was TOO late and the train was out of service. Yes but of course, it is 2 AM, why would it be working at this hour of the morning at the busiest airport in the United States? OK so there I am forced to march in my 4 inch heels pulling my roller behind me all the way to baggage claim from terminal A. Thank God I wore platforms because I would have never made it in any other kind of shoes.

I jumped for joy once my fiance' pulled up curb side and drove me home. Then I curled up in my comfy bed after a hot shower around 3 AM to only doze off for a few hours before it was time to get up for work. "I can't" is what I was thinking lol I hardly had any sleep now I'm supposed to go to work looking like this with my huge shopping sized bags under my eyes. Nope today was a working from home day thanks to Delta.

Delta you guys will be reimbursing me somehow for all the time I had to spend in the airport ;0)

New York City Tour

This weekend I hopped on a plane to support one of my girls in her accomplishment of obtaining her Masters in Urban Planning from Rutgers University. While in NYC of course I had to spend some time with my family and minicheese ;0) New York will always have a space in my heart, it is my birthplace after all but I could never in a million years imagine moving back there. I've become Southernized lol I enjoy the tree lined streets, peace and quiet and the chance of spotting some wild life in my neighborhood. I did enjoy my time spent there this weekend and snapped a few photos of passersby while we at at some cute restaurant on 34th street. New Yorkers are some of the most fashionable and fun people to watch. Enjoy!

We went to see Bridesmaids at the Lowes theater, that movie is so funny!

Love her Saturday midday outfit!

She was super fly too!

He reminded me of Miguel! I love that album ;0)

On the Long Island Railroad headed to Baldwin.

Congrats to my friend Erika!

The Farm

Hey ladies I took these pictures of the Kolb Farm last weekend while walking with my Yorkie Juicy. This farm is just so magical to me if you are in the GA area definitely take a trip there for a walk on the farm. The particular trail I was on that day is 5.6 miles long but you can split off and go on various routes throughout the farm.

Being so close to the horse was very intimidating lol he was cool though ;0)

Kolb Farm house from inside the trail, on Powder Springs Road

Another horse ahead, watch your step they drop BIG loads lol

I thought the roots looked pretty cool exposed like that

Ahhh running water so calming

Juicy met Spencer on the trail, he is 6 months old how cute

Finish line

This is the hill I approached and ran into those deer sitting in the midst of the grass watching my every move I had to go all the way to the bottom and turn left to head through the trees for the bridge back to the car.

That's the bridge, can you imagine being in the woods as the sun is setting looking out for wildlife lurking in the bush lol

This is the homestretch, there were more deer off to the left last night but I hightailed it up this hill and back to my car to safety lol

So Cal Beach Bum

Man I so could be a beach bum and spend my days lounging on the shore with my kiddies building sand castles and playing fetch with Juicy and Rambo. Tomorrow is Friday so I'm playing the lottery. Hey you never know dreams do come true. "Today could be the day!"

Here is a short video of the beach. Enjoy!

So Cal Millionaire Row

My heart belongs on the coast, warm waters, sandy beaches and the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore is just so relaxing to me. I was born and bred in the concrete jungles of the South Bronx but my mother is an AVID beach dweller, she loves to swim and always had us at the shore. Cali is so beautiful but their water is cold and doesn't compare to the warm shores of the Caribbean in the least bit. I still enjoyed being on the beach and reveling in the warmth of the sun's friendly rays tickling my skin. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Check out the pictures. Enjoy!

Beach Entry

Millionaire Row, must be nice!

Surfer dudes

A Female Surfer chick, how cool!

My rental lol not very luxurious compared to the ballerific cars around here

Inspirational Thursday

This morning I awoke way too early AGAIN, my body still can't not sleep through the night. I'm up at 4 West Coast time and in bed by 11 East Coast time. Something has got to give! My project here is coming to a close today and hopefully I will have time to venture to the Thrift store I found online this afternoon.

Since I was up and doing pretty much nothing this morning I took my tail down to the gym FINALLY. I haven't worked out here at all until today. I am glad that my progress thus far has not fallen by the waste side although after looking at my legs today I need to get back on my grind.

Last night I went to Kimera with Tanisha, who lives and plays in Orange County. This place is freakin awesome! We shared some life stories, laughs, hugs oh and a couple mojitos for me and margaritas plus calamari for her ;0) She has had some of the funniest and most exciting life experiences. I can't wait to travel abroad after chatting with her last night. She read Eat Pray Love and said "I want to go to Bali" and actually went. How cool! I know many women, including myself, have said that after reading the book or seeing the movie but to get up and go is freakin awesome. You rock Tanisha! Oh and that blazer you wore last night was killer! ;0)

After breakfast I managed to snap these pictures of the sunrise. God is so amazing!

Little Blue

Yesterday I went to lunch at Ten Asian on MacArthur by referral from my boss. The food was delish and the ambiance even better. I love Asian restaurants as their decor is always right up my alley. Have you seen my house? lol The best part of my meal was the creme bru le, in fact I bet I will go again just for that. I LOVE creme bru le and if I can have that as my wedding 'cake' I'd be stoked ;0) I also ventured on the 405, 55 and 73 highways last night cruising around, lost and then found and made my way down to the PCH aka Pacific Coast Highway. The strip was pretty cool all lit up with restaurant strobe lights. I didn't get out of the car though, it was so dark and I couldn't figure out where to park to get onto the beach. I'm going back again today before I head to get more boxes for the move this afternoon. Plus I wanted to take pictures in the daylight. Now that I know how to get there it should be much easier. Here are a few pictures of last night's events.

Miso soup and a Martini

Sushi platter and yes I ate it all ;0)

Creme bru le, my favorite dessert of all time

Ten Asian, check out the waterfall you walk under to enter cool huh
