Recycled Bride

Well ladies I think I have my heart set on my dress, I saw a close runner up this weekend in Atlanta at New Natalies. If you are in the market for a bridal gown definitely check them out located off of Howell Mill. Today while talking to my co-worker, a male that is, he suggested looking for a rental bridal shop. After all men do rent their tux's right? That is a great idea, why didn't I think of that? I searched the internet and came across Recycled Bride, a site somewhat like Etsy where former brides can sell their dresses, veils, wedding decor, accessories, the works! Lo and behold I found the exact same dress I want in GA for $100 less than retail. It is, however, a size smaller than the one I tried on in the store but the seller does give local buyers the option of trying it on. I already contacted her with an inquiry. I'm so stoked! Thanks Ifekar for our suggestion ;0) I also met a very kind woman while trying on dresses with Tiffany last weekend. She is a seasoned seamstress and is making Tiffany's veil. I asked her if she would be willing to teach me how to sew and she obliged. I can't wait to go to my first lesson ;0) Maybe I can make my own birdcage blusher for less than what they charge in the stores at a whopping $300!

My mom and Maid of Honor, Janarda, are coming here the first weekend of December for dress trials. Most of the stores say it takes about 6 months for the dress to be made and then add on additional weeks for alterations. My wedding is already 11 months away!!!!!!!!

Time sure flies by when you're having fun. I feel like it was just yesterday when he proposed and we have been engaged now for 8 months tomorrow. :0) Happy Engagement Anniversay babe!
