Everyone always asks how to do smudge proof red lips ... it is a process don't let a commercial fool you! Red lip color instantly illuminates your complexion.
1. You have to prep your lips to have smudge proof red lips.
a. make sure your lips aren't dry or chapped, usually this makes it harder and harder to retain your perfect pout all night. (If your lips are chapped use a great lip moisturizer, like Burt's Bees for 3 days straight and your lips will be ready to deal the statement lip.)
2. Power down you lips
a. Take a single tissue and lay flat over mouth and take a big powder brush with powder applied to it and dab all over the tissue. (This will lock your lips for a dry non moisturized new lip that will adhere to the liner and color.)
3. Apply lip liner just inside the lips, do not go over your lip line or you will have problems. (I think it is okay to do this look with dark lipstick, but doing it with red makes it harder to match throughout the night.)
4. Take a new tissue and re blot all over again, follow step 2. (This locks in what you have completed.)
5. Take a small lip brush and lightly add layer of layer of red lipstick inside your great new lined lips, make sure and stay in the lines.
6. Pucker, move the lips around, check your teeth:) Repeat step 2. Pucker and give about 20 minutes before you have your victory glass of wine:)

Tips:
Sometimes if you want to break the pin-up girl norm, lightly bronze your skin, to be more glowy, in an evening party you will be dewy. Make sure to stay away from the pan bronzers and liquid bronzers.)
