SO CLASSIC ...

For fall, Ruffian’s bad-boy designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais collaborated on a print depicting Johann Sebastian Bach’s 1720 sheet music for Sonata for Solo Violin No. 1 in G minor, with their ethereal Dutch friend, set designer and cellist Anne Koch. “She transcribed the score and even reinterpreted ink splatters on the original page,” says Wolk, who showed the drawing on everything from knee-length silk cocktail dresses—paired over sheer polka-dot bodysuits—to the lining on a black opera-length coat. “The whole collection was about the lyricism between French and American culture,” he says.
