#Delta Airlines

Dear Delta Airlines,

You've got some explaining to do! This is me sitting in Newark airport at some point during my 6.5 hour wait to get on my flight. I have no idea where my plane was coming from, perhaps the UK because Lord only knows why I had to waste hours upon hours in the airport. My flight was supposed to leave at 7:30 and since the graduation was over before expected I decided to head to el aeropuerto early and see if I could standby for an earlier flight. I knew to expect delays when Delta called me whilst I was stuffing my face at the Rutger's reception. Yum! Those little quiche snacks were the bomb.com

Anyway to kill the time I talked on the phone, watched youtube, half way looked at some netflix film, got on facebook, tweeted, took a trip the ladies room luggage and all, ate my dinner at the airport smh and even skyped with my friend mini over those 6.5 hours. I was hoping and praying that every time the sign went from expected departure of 8:30 to 10:20 to 11:15 then back to 11:00 it would never say 'This flight has been cancelled.' I was going out of my mind with impatience on 100 million. I felt sorry for the family with the toddlers sprawled out on the dirty floor acting up out of boredom and frustration but this is exactly how we all felt. I was there so long the cleaning crew came, swept up the place and went home before me. I even saw the sky go from day light to pitch black over the course of my stay.

Finally 11 PM arrives and we all crowd around gate 44 as if we are headed to the mother land desperately awaiting our chance to board the plane. The crew had the air conditioning on frozen and that little cheap 'sheet' because it's not a blanket didn't help. I managed to doze off for what seemed like an hour or so being randomly awoken by the jerk of the plane riding the stormy weather. I even kicked off my heels and curled them up underneath my bum for more warmth. I had my row to myself until the airline stewardess crashed next to me. I didn't care though I just wanted to land safely and get the the f out of dodge aka Delta!

We touched down and had to wait before we piled out of cattle class like mad bulls charging toward baggage claim. We all boarded the people mover train only to feel like asses because it was TOO late and the train was out of service. Yes but of course, it is 2 AM, why would it be working at this hour of the morning at the busiest airport in the United States? OK so there I am forced to march in my 4 inch heels pulling my roller behind me all the way to baggage claim from terminal A. Thank God I wore platforms because I would have never made it in any other kind of shoes.

I jumped for joy once my fiance' pulled up curb side and drove me home. Then I curled up in my comfy bed after a hot shower around 3 AM to only doze off for a few hours before it was time to get up for work. "I can't" is what I was thinking lol I hardly had any sleep now I'm supposed to go to work looking like this with my huge shopping sized bags under my eyes. Nope today was a working from home day thanks to Delta.

Delta you guys will be reimbursing me somehow for all the time I had to spend in the airport ;0)
