Natural Curls & Corporate

After watching this video from The View it sparked me to ask those who have gone natural and wear their hair in it's natural state at work what was your coworkers & supervisor's reaction? Do you wear your natural curls in 'corporate' styles as opposed to the more freely flowing styles? Did you get any opposition or questions of wonderment from onlookers?

My personal experience was I started and interviewed at my current employer with a press n curl look. I always wore my hair straight and out for the first year at my job. When I decided to go natural and in the transitional phase I wore my hair in bantu knot outs, twist outs and braid outs. Some days my hair was neatly coiled around my face and others my hair was out and wild like I just rolled out of bed, especially during very humid days. For me the wild and crazy big hair suits my fancy but I did notice the guys looking with a puzzled expression but NO one dared to ask 'Why?' the change. I still get more compliments from the men at my job when my hair is straight but I don't quite care what their feelings are about my hair. My thing is "I'm not your wife! I'm not here to please you aesthetically I'm here to count the money and my hair doesn't hinder that one bit" ;0)

Let me know your corporate natural hair experiences. On another note, why is wearing your hair in the way that God made it to grow naturally out of your head such a revolutionary idea? Why do we even have to consider wearing certain 'appropriate' styles while in the work place? This just goes to show that there is a place for artisans like me and it's not behind a desk.
