**Fashion, beauty, and art are all important but please take the time and money (if you are able, that is) to stand up for HEALTH. Perhaps you were fortunate to have an open relationship with your parents and/or the adequate financial resources, insurance, etc. to recieve healthcare from a normal health care physician. However, many women AND men rely on planned parenthood for quality healthcare regarding reproductive health (low cost paps, birth controls, AIDs/STD testings, cancer screenings, condoms, and even counselling). Planned Parenthood most importantly, provides a safe and comforting enviorment to many individuals feeling scared, alone, or clueless as to how to take care of themselves in terms of sexual health. Planned Parenthood provides honest, confidential care to anyone who needs it. The fact that this threat is even being considered is really terrifying for me, in terms of the direction in which our country seems to be headed in.
The crucial principle of living under an alleged democratic nation requires that citizens make political decisions based not only their own personal beliefs, values, etc. but based on what will be the better outcome for the whole of the nation. This is difficult when mixing upbringing, religion, and other personal factors but is so IMPORTANT. We must do what we feel is right for everyone living in America not just our peers and those who share the same lifestyles, financial incomes, etc. Putting yourself in another's shoes is quite challenging for some but I ask that people begin to do this more.
